From concept to detail: a design flow aligned with offshore reality.
We develop designs that carefully account for motion, dynamics and limited space. During the Concept Design phase, variants, functionality, spatial requirements, mass distribution and initial FEM analyses are explored. In the Basic Design phase, we define structural principles, layouts, interfaces and overall strength verifications. The Detail Design phase involves full development to manufacturing level, including comprehensive FEM/FEA analysis, material selection, weld classification, corrosion protection, tolerances and complete documentation such as technical drawings, bills of materials and reports.
In offshore engineering, it is about more than static strength alone; factors such as fatigue, vibrations, resonance, wear and corrosion are equally decisive for the durability of a system. Our design process therefore focuses on lifecycle performance: systems are engineered to be robust, easy to maintain and logically inspectable, with safety and manufacturability central at every stage.
We work in a multidisciplinary manner: we are responsible for the mechanical and structural design and coordinate closely with partners for hydraulics, electromechanics, monitoring and control systems. This approach helps prevent costly modifications at a later stage.
