Job description

At MechDes Engineering, more than 100 engineers work every day on challenging technical projects for leading clients. To ensure our organization and future growth remain sustainable, we are looking for a Talent & Performance Lead.

As a Talent & Performance Lead, you play an important role in the development and sustainable employability of our engineers. Within the Talent & Performance domain, you help create an environment where professionals continue to grow and teams perform at their best.

What makes this role unique is that, together with two fellow Talent & Performance Leads, you shape the strategy for employee development while also being responsible for its execution. You work closely with our people while helping define the future direction of the organization. This gives you a direct impact on both strategy and day-to-day practice.

What will you do?

You support a group of approximately 20 to 30 engineers and help them get the best out of themselves and their careers. You conduct talent and performance conversations, encourage continuous development, and help engineers take ownership of their career paths.

At the same time, you safeguard engagement, job satisfaction, and sustainable employability. You also look ahead. What competencies will we need tomorrow? How do we retain knowledge? And how do we keep our engineers agile in a rapidly changing market?

Together with your colleagues in the Talent & Performance team, you actively contribute to the further development of this domain within MechDes, under the guidance of the Operations Director. Together, you work on initiatives that support the careers of our engineers and the continued growth of MechDes. This is not only about developing policies, but also about putting them into practice and making their impact measurable.

We are looking for someone who:

  • can easily switch between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • translates organizational goals into concrete development initiatives.
  • actively contributes to the development and employability of employees.
  • translates HR KPIs into targeted actions.
  • provides data-driven insights to the Management Team.
  • coaches and advises engineers and managers on talent development and growth.
  • works together with internal and external partners on sustainable employability and wellbeing initiatives.

Continue the conversation at our office over a freshly brewed cup of coffee?

We would be happy to explore whether there is a match and whether you can take the next step in your career at our engineering firm, where you truly matter as a person.
